Finally, finished her dress and apron!! I have been stuck to the sewing machine all day. I might tone down her apron a bit. But she is telling me she would like an animal to play with...

Orindah's bonnet...

More prgress...I have named her "Orindah Hughes, 1809". I have made her bonnet, now onto the dress.

Little dolly, naked with nothing to wear... this is what I am working on for ebay... In progress.

I thought I would share with you my new project. I have lived with my bedroom like this for long enough, and decided to make a much needed change...
First thing is first, finding a paint color...
Well, I went to Lowe's and picked out "Muted Thrush" in a flat finish, by "Valspar". I will be painting the room first, after I clear out all of the furniture which won't happen until monday, when the kiddies return to school. Until then, here is the before... I have barely anything in my bedroom and have lived like this for a long time!!!
Stay tuned,
Tammy

Now up for auction...on my ebay.

Ok, I was so inspired by my discovery of the "Hatch" doll collection, that I had to make a black dolly of my own... I am almost finished with her, but she has no face. So I will sit and ponder for awile, and think apon it. Any opinions?
P.S. The Sun is shining today, and I am thankful!!!!

Well, my love of the the black folk art doll will never end... I would love to some day travel and see this collection of historical dolls. Until then, I will just enjoy the inspiration...
